University of Antioquia

The University of Antioquia (UdeA) is a state institution at a departmental level, which develops public service through higher education, established by Act LXXI of December 4, 1878 the Sovereign State of Antioquia, is established in the city of Medellin , Colombia.


The University of Antioquia is to research, the development and dissemination of knowledge in the fields of humanities, science, the arts, philosophy, technique and technology, through research, teaching and extension, performed in higher education programs for undergraduate and graduate methodologies, blended learning, open and distance learning in the service of a comprehensive conception of man. The university has approximately 31,000 undergraduate students and 2,200 headquarters in regional headquarters, and 2,300 graduate students. Because of its transformative nature Antioquia University affects all sectors of society through research, teaching and extension.

The University of Antioquia is a partner in the project DevalSimWeb through the Faculty of Education being also the coordinator of the Latin American partners involved in this project. The participation of the University of Cadiz in other projects has a major precedent in the role played in the project EVALPART in 2009 and 2010 (Student participation in quality assessment and higher education), which was partially funded by the Agency Spanish International Cooperation and Development (AECID) of the Spanish government.
